Produces 45 cm tall plants with trusses or dull white blooms that produce the overwhelming fragrance that Mignonette is known for. This specie is best grown in alkaline soils that are well drained but at the same time hold a good deal of moisture. The reason for this is that wilted mignonette plants dont re-hydrate well which in turn adversely affects their flowering performance. Direct sowing into the garden or containers in a sunny site is recommended as this variety resents transplanting. The essential oil in this heirloom plant has been used in perfumes.
