Senecio String of Watermelon (Senecio herreianus)

Heres another trailing succulent thats part of the popular Strings category, similar to our Bead Plant or String of Dolphins. Plump, oblong, little watermelon-shaped beads have the characteristic watermelon stripes on the leaves that darken with exposure to sunlight. In full sun, the markings are purple, and in lower light the stripes remain green. The stems cascade over the pots edge creating an attractive houseplant for a full sun or bright light windowsill. Be sure to dry out between waterings.
