Pretty Woman Lily Flowered Tulip

The red red lily-flowered tulip. In a group dominated by bi-colors, this pure red entry is most welcome. Remember, this group is the last to bloom, so by planting them, you’re automatically extending your spring display.

About Lily-Flowered Tulips: If you’ve grown them before, you know all about it. If not, here are the facts:
These unique tulips bloom late, at the end of the tulip season. They’re tall, compared to most, with thin, but large blooms as you can see in the photos. But when they bloom, that’s only the beginning. Whether you leave them in the garden, or cut them for a spectacular arrangement, the show goes on for days, sometimes weeks. The blooms lengthen, then begin to open wide. After a few days, they are almost flat, like a huge pointed-petaled poppy. It’s a fabulous finale for the tulip season, and without lily-flowered tulips, you’ll miss it all.
