Philodendron ‘Florida Ghost’ – 19cm

New leaves that emerge pale as a ghost. Philodendron ‘Florida Ghost’ is a climbing hybrid that produces elongated, multi-lobed leaves which unfurl in a striking pale, almost white-green before gradually maturing through mint green to a deep, glossy green. The contrast between the ghostly new growth and the darker mature foliage is what gives the plant its name, and it is a consistent, reliable producer of these pale new leaves throughout the year. It climbs readily on a moss pole.

Origins
Philodendron ‘Florida Ghost’ is a cultivated hybrid, generally attributed to a cross involving Philodendron pedatum. The parent species are native to the tropical forests of South America, growing as climbing hemiepiphytes.
