Organic Wherokowhai Marbled Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a dwarf, compact, productive annual variety valued for its multicolored marbled fruits with dominant yellow-orange tones and juicy flesh. With plants reaching 90 to 120 cm (3 to 4 ft), it brings beautiful ornamental value to family vegetable gardens, large containers, and rare tomato collections while remaining easy to integrate into smaller spaces. Its mild, balanced, pleasant flavor makes it an excellent fresh-eating tomato, perfect for salads, sandwiches, thick slices, tasting platters, and summer preparations. Fruits usually mature 75 to 85 days after transplanting.

Organic Wherokowhai Marbled Tomato should be sown indoors from March to April, about 0.5 cm (1/4 in) deep, at a steady temperature of 21 to 27C (70 to 81F). Germination usually takes 7 to 14 days when seedlings receive proper warmth and light. After the last frosts, hardened-off plants can be transplanted into full sun, in fertile, organic-rich, slightly acidic to neutral, well-drained soil. It grows very well in large 40 to 50 cm (16 to 20 in) diameter containers. A sturdy stake, deep and regular watering, organic mulch, and balanced potassium-rich fertilization support strong production.

In the edible garden, Organic Wherokowhai Marbled Tomato is ideal for decorative vegetable gardens, urban gardens, edible landscapes, and gardeners passionate about unusual varieties. Its marbled fruits add a spectacular touch to harvests and strong visual appeal on the plate while offering reliable eating quality. Basil, chives, and parsley are good companion plants, while rotation with other nightshades helps reduce certain crop issues. Its yellow flowers attract bees, bumblebees, and other pollinating insects, supporting good fruiting and beneficial biodiversity in the vegetable garden.
