Organic Pumpkin Giant Golias – Cornucopia Seeds

Cucurbita maxima

USDA organic. Very large, bright orange, lightly ribbed fruits that reach 60 pounds or even larger. These multi-purpose pumpkins, unlike other large varieties grown for display, have thick, sweet orange fine flesh that makes great pies and other pumpkin treats. Vines are vigorous and productive. Ready in 110-120 days.

Gardener’s Notes: Start seeds indoors 3 weeks before last frost, or plant directly outdoors in spring after the last frost. Grow in fertile, well-drained soil. Sow 4-6 seeds in a 24-inch circle. Thin to 2-3 plants before vines begin spreading. Water and fertilize regularly when pumpkins form. Harvest when vines die, rind is hard, and stems are brown and dry. Let pumpkins cure in the sun for 10 days.
