Asimina triloba – NC1 Pawpaw

Introduced in 1976 by growerenthusiast Doug Campbell near Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, Canada. NC1 is a hardy pawpaw cultivar selected for early ripening, fruit quality, and suitability to colder climates. Its fruit are large, with thin skin and relatively few seeds; NC1 typically ripens in midSeptember in Ontario and early September in more southerly sites. The tree is coldhardy and productive across appropriate zones. Space trees about 10 ft apart (10′ circles). Hardiness: Zones 58
