Monstera Deliciosa ‘White Tear’ (wk11-UQ)

TheMonstera deliciosa ‘White Tear’isa modern, high-end cultivar that rose to prominence during the rare plant boom of the late 2010s and early 2020s. Closely related to the “Mint” variegation lineage, this selection is distinguished by its unique white markings that manifest as crisp, droplet-shaped splashes rather than the diffuse, hazy patterns typical of other variegated varieties. In the aroid community, the name “White Tear” was specifically adopted to categorize this more distinct and artistic expression of variegation.

As a true large-formdeliciosa, the ‘White Tear’ carries a prestigious botanical heritage rooted in the tropical rainforests of Southern Mexico and Panama. While many common variegated Monsteras are “small-form” climbers, this cultivar retains the classic thick stems and tight nodes of the original species, eventually producing massive, deeply fenestrated leaves. Today, it stands as a pinnacle of specialized horticulture, prized by collectors for its relative genetic stability and striking, teardrop-like contrast.
