Jaboticaba Tree Sabara (Plinia cauliflora)

We are excited to offer this selection of Jaboticaba since the medium-sized tree is very productive. If given full sun and proper fertilization, Sabara usually fruits in 4-6 years whereas the standard Jaboticaba can take 5-10 years to fruit. Best of all Sabara has 3 to 4 cycles of flowers and fruit each year. The shiny black fruit develops in clusters close to the woody stems and has a sweet pulp under the skin. Its commonly called Brazilian grape. This tasty fruit is an enduring plant for containers.
