Jaboticaba Tree Precoce (Plinia cauliflora hybrid)

An excellent tropical fruiting plant for containers, this selection of Jaboticaba is early fruiting with flowers and fruit appearing when plants are 2-3 tall. Unlike the standard Jaboticaba, which can take 5-12 years to fruit, Precoce usually begins fruiting in its third year. Also known as the Brazilian Grape, the fruit forms on the old woody stems and ripens to a shiny black ball with a sweet interior pulp that surrounds the seed. It flowers and fruits on and off throughout the year and mature plants are highly productive.
