Connecticut Field Pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo)

The perfect pumpkin for carving! One of the oldest heirloom pumpkin varieties, with origins dating back to the 17th-century. Produces high yields of flat-topped, bulbous fruit reaching 15-25 pounds. Bright orange in color, these pumpkins can be transformed into classic jack-o-lanterns or pumpkin pies.

• 20 seeds minimum
• Germination: 5-10 days
• Maturity: 100 days
• Direct sow -1 deep in full sun after last frost date when soil is at least 70F or start indoors 3-4 weeks before planting.
• Plant 4 seeds per hill; space hills 6 apart
• Pumpkins should not be planted in soil where melons or cucumbers were recently grown.
