Chick Charms Glacier Blue [extra large]

Chick Charms Glacier Blue (PPAF) features cool-toned rosettes in silvery blue and soft purple with a hint of minty green sheen. This eye-catching Sempervivum offsets readily, gradually forming a neat, colorful cluster over time. Its unique tones and tidy rosette shape make it a beautiful addition to rock gardens, containers, and sunny borders. Each plant is fully rooted in a 4.5″ pot.

Hens & Chicks thrive with plenty of outdoor sunlight, which helps them develop their best colors and maintain their tight rosette form. Plant them in gritty, well-draining soil and containers with drainage holes. As they grow, they produce small offsets, or chicks, on stolons that can be left to form fuller clusters or gently removed to share and transplant.

Sempervivum grows most actively inspring and summer and appreciates regular watering during the growing season.In hotter climates, a little afternoon shade can help protect them when temperatures climb above 80F. These hardy plants are extremely cold-tolerant and can easily overwinter outdoors, often thriving beneath a protective blanket of snow. Be sure to protect them from heavy rain or standing water, which can lead to rot.
