Alocasia portei

Alocasia portei produces enormous, arrow-shaped leaves with deep, wavy lobes running down either side, held on tall, upright petioles that give the plant a commanding vertical presence. Mature leaves can reach impressive sizes and take on an almost skeletal, sculptural quality as the lobes deepen.

Origins
Native to the Philippines, Alocasia portei grows in tropical forest understorey at low to moderate elevations in humid, shaded conditions.

Soil and Substrate
Our Alocasia Premium Potting Mix is peat-free and formulated for Alocasias, with a chunky, well-draining blend that prevents waterlogging.
