This is a newly described, small, creeping epiphytic orchid belonging to the Pleurothallidinae subtribe, native to the high-elevation montane cloud forests of Ecuador (1,800-2,000 m). This species was described by the Ecuagenera research team.
- Light: Requires filtered or diffused light, similar to the shade under the dense canopy of the cloud forest. Direct, intense sunlight must be strictly avoided as it can cause leaf damage.
- Temperature: It requires Intermediate-Cool conditions with significant temperature fluctuations between day and night. The ideal range is 55-75F (13-24C).
- Humidity: High ambient humidity (70% or higher) is crucial to replicate its constantly moist, foggy habitat. Consistent air circulation is necessary to prevent spotting and rot.
