(Calico Aster) Also known as Symphyoctrichum lateriflorum ‘Lady in Black’
Dramatic aster with dark, purplish foliage and numerous small pale pink to white daisies borne along the sides of the stems in late season. The combination of dark leaves and light flowers gives strong contrast and structure in fall borders. Grows best in full sun and average, well-drained soils and works well with ornamental grasses and seedheads.
