Hairy Grama Grass

8-12 tall x 6-8 wide. Bouteloua hirsuita (Hairy Grama Grass) thrives in poor soils and covers itself with a profusion of cheery eyelash-like flowers from early to mid-summer. It is recommended for use as a small grass in the rock garden or wildflower meadow, where it will re-seed and fill in the empty spaces. Grow it in full sun and most any soil type including clay. A wonderful companion plant alongside Calylophus (Sundrops), Linum (Flax), and Penstemon.
