Calathea Bicajoux ‘Gecko’

Calatheas have unusual foliage. The ‘Gecko’ variety has large oval leaves. It is distinguished by light green foliage in the center then surrounded by silvery green. It requires little light to thrive, but appreciates a warm and humid environment. We recommend watering with demineralized water, which can be purchased at the pharmacy, or with rainwater. Melted snow works very well! Calatheas do not tolerate the excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burns and damage the foliage.
